This is another simple outfit I like. I like the lines on the skirt. Definitely it helps elongating my height. We took this picture on our family trip to Lake Oconee. For some reason I love water. And here goes my story…

I still don’t understand why I’ve always had dreams about water, especially the ocean. I feel the loneliness, calmness, mysteriousness and anger of the ocean. The dream about water came over and over in my sleep in the past. This is one of my favorite dreams:

I was walking by the ocean. This was not like a regular ocean but more like a big inlet. It was such a peaceful inlet surrounded by green pasture and green short hills. The inlet itself wasn’t that deep, just bellow my knees. Instead of sand, green grass and small colorful flowers comprised the ocean bed.

I remembered on sunny days of spring-like weather, the temperature was warm and I could feel the warmth of the sun touching my skin. I walked through the shallow water to feel the softness of the green grass that touching my feet. Once in a while I reach down to pick some tiny flowers.

I realized how beautiful the scene was and I decided to lie down under the water. I looked up at the clear blue sky and felt the freshness of the water covering me and the warmth of the sunshine penetrated through water and onto my face and body. I fell asleep in this peace and happiness mind.

I will never forget how peaceful that dream was. Every time I see an ocean or lake I am reminded of my dream.

Can anyone interpret the meaning of my dream?

Everything is going green nowadays. You see green labels in a lot of products. Beware, not all products that have green labels in them are actually real green products. The sellers know the labels can be a selling point.

Today I am posting about going green (notice even the wall behind me is green). I love green; the color reminds me of the trees and nature surrounding us.

The wall is green but I wish I could do a bit better with the outfit though. I am supposed to wear  an outfit with a contrasting color opposite the wall background.

During one winter afternoon, we walked around and saw this background. It’s actually the outside wall of a natural foods market. It’s not bad for a background huh?

I got this Missoni top really cheap ($7) at Target. It seemed like it was meant to be. You know like finding the perfect husband (the one who was designed for you, just for you, the prince who comes in the right time after you’ve been waiting). This top just waited for me, smiling and winking at me while I passed the aisle. This was the last Missoni top left on sale rack. You know people get crazy over Missoni at Target last year. They were willing to wait in line for hours. Cuuuarazzzy. I’m not that crazy for busy patterns, but with a cute top all alone and smiling innocently at me, it’s hard to ignore it. Love in the first sight.

This is my Kung Fu Panda style. When I was young I always wanted to be Jackie Chan. I dreamt that I wouldn’t afraid walking on the streets because I could Kung Fu anybody who dared bother me.

Last year we visited Sedona on our out-west road trip. We took this off-road tour which is run by “Pink Jeep Tours.” The first think that caught our eyes when we entered Sedona, other than the red rock was a “pink jeep” in the center of downtown. It was a laughable color for a jeep but a neat trick. People are curious and pay attention to bizarre things, right. So did we. We ended up taking one of the tours just because we were curious to know the reason behind the pink jeep. The guy behind the pink jeep idea was such a smart man. The pink jeep is no more than brilliant and clever marketing campaign.

Nuff said, there’s a little correlation between “Pink Jeep” and my “Pepto-Bismol Outfit.” In one of my thrifty shopping sprees with my friend, I spotted this polka-dotted top, I didn’t know if it was a children’s top or not. Judging by its color and motif, it probably was. I suggested to my friend that the top would look good on her. But she quickly answered that she would look like Pepto-Bismol wearing it. I thought 5 times before I decided to get it. Why not? Sometimes a tacky outfit can turn into the best one right?

I wore this outfit the other day for a lunch date with my husband and we stopped at our post office to check our mail box. Guess what?! The post office is not a bad place for taking pictures. I love the mail boxes as a background. Valentines and Post Office? I know there’s no connection.

My husband had this silly idea. He asked me to hold a Pepto-Bismol bottle as part of my photo. I boldly say “NO.” I want to focus more to my outfit than on Pepto-Bismol.

I got this “Boyfriend Cardigan” from Victoria’s Secret on sale. After all the gift card and coupons deals, I ended up paying $12 for it.  When I received it, it looked more like ”Grandma Cardigan” on me rather than “Boyfriend Cardigan.”  I loved the color but the shape was way too big . I wanted to return it but It cost me $5 for shipping. With all the work I had to do, I didn’t think it was worth returning it.  I was upset and decided to donate it to Goodwill.

I put this grandma cardigan with her other friends in the hallway in the box called “donate.” Every time I passed  the area, the grandma cardigan looked at me, as if begging and asking me to give her another chance.  Several time I refused. I refused to even looked at her.  No. No. No! I said to myself.  It’s too bulky and it would short make you look short if you wear it.

One day I stumbled upon another fashion blogger and got an idea. Of course, it was as simple as a “belt.” I arrived home from work, I dug through the donate pile and pulled the “grandma” out of it. She looked so thrilled.  I tried it on… voila… she actually look cute on me.

Out from donate pile and into in treasure pile she went. I convinced her from this day forward that I will be more creative with her and will put her to many uses in the future. Sorry “grandma” for misjudging you. Glad to give you another chance.

In every girl’s heart, there’s always a dream to be a princess. Dream to walk like a princess, dress like a princess. When I was young I always pretended to be Cinderella. I played by myself. As a single player (since my sisters didn’t want to play with me), I acted double. Sometimes I was Cinderella, and then I changed my voice  into the step mother’s or to somebody else.

I always wanted to wear a long skirt since I was a kid, but since I was petite aka short, I always thought long skirts would overwhelm me and make me look even shorter. Not anymore. At least not until I found this cute skirt from Forever 21. The vertical lines in the skirt elongate my body and make me look taller.

Once I wore this skirt, my attitude suddenly changed. My feminine side came out. I wanted to walk and talk like a princess.  I found the lace handbag at a Goodwill store and it completed my princes look. I know this is probably perfect for spring, but since fashion has no rules… just go for it. I’m my own designer.

Here we were walking at the park, a date night with my husband before we went to see “Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol.” It’s a great Movie. It’s worth seeing.  Anyway, after the movie and nice dinner we went home. I’m such an imaginative person, after seeing the movie my tomboy side came out. Once I got home, changed into pajamas, I then transformed into a mission impossible agent.

Ps: My tips for petite girl, if you want to wear long skirt that won’t overwhelm you, get a long skirt with vertical lines in it or made of soft material that falls on your body. Flowy but soft. Combine them with a fitted top that covers your hips. Voila… Nobody knows that you are 4”11 like me :)
