Instead of always paying cash, why not make a rule for only using a credit card when you already have the money in cash.  You won&#039;t have to pay any interest, because you can pay off the purchase when you get the next credit card bill.  (In addition, since you don&#039;t have to actually pay your credit card bill for about a month after you make a purchase,  you just got an interest free loan for that period of time)</description>
