My Magic Bullet Review

By Suzana Rowland

Lying on the couch is my favorite thing to do in the morning and afternoon. After taking my hubby to the door, I give him my right & left kiss, followed by tiny bitty spanks on his butt; I run toward my comfy couch and start watching the learning kid cartoon on the TLC channel. The cartoon title is ?Magic School Bus.? Isn?t that funny that I, being an adult, learn a lot from that cartoon. I get a lot of simple lessons that I?ve never gotten in school before, or, hmm? maybe I?ve heard, but forgotten.

This time, I want to talk about the paid program that I watched on TV a week ago. Usually, I am anti-advertisement, because as we know, many ads are full of promising and sweet-talk. But this paid program was different. It attracted me very much. Like the words ?nice things come in small packages, ? this small tool called the ?Magic Bullet? made me continuing listening intently. The first welcoming words sound something like this ?Congratulations on your purchase of the Magic Bullet, the personal versatile counter top magician that works like magic.? Unlike bulky blenders and unwieldy food processors that most of us only pull out of storage for specific recipes and special occasions, the Magic Bullet seemed so handy, so versatile and easy to use that you?ll put it to work every single day (probably several times a day).Â

I love to cook Asian foods and chili peppers (often the base ingredient) and some other spices that I need to soften first before I cook. I have a ?Kitchen Aid? blender that our aunt gave us for our wedding gift, but it?s quite big for me to use it everyday, especially when trying to soften 5-10 curly chili peppers. I did this one time using my Kitchen Aid blender, but I couldn?t get my soft chili peppers back. How can I describe it, oh yeah, it?s like when you eat corn on the cobb and some tiny pieces of corn leave spaces in your teeth like Christmas ornaments on a Christmas tree. It?s difficult to remove them with your fork: D and you need a dental floss to remove them. It works the same if I soften my chili peppers in my bulky blender. They?re just stacked in the blade. Then, I?m back to the traditional way doing it manually (I don?t say using traditional tools are bad, instead those can be good, useful and cheap tools). The benefit of using a traditional grinder is, first you can shape your arm muscles, second when you soften the onion you can practice your theatrical talents at the same time. Onions make it so easy to cry and for absolutely no reason; you just need to add your lip motion to make your crying seem really sad (seems my hubby does that some times).

When I saw the Magic Bullet on TV, I was jumping around like a small girl getting her first Barbie. This is my dream come true, I said to myself. But I didn?t like the price; it was too expensive. Although, I really wanted to buy the Magic Bullet so bad, my frugal instinct was still working with full force, no error or damage. I thought, that?s their first advertisement on TV; that?s why it?s so expensive. It was just like other TV ads that always say ?not available in stores?bla..bla..bla.

Well, tuing tuing tuing my frugal button called me ?why don?t try on eBay first?. Amazingly, ?well, not really amazing because you know that we can find everything on eBay nowadays.
I found a few new ones on eBay and the prices were a lot cheaper than the TV ads. I bought one and a week after my Magic Bullet came right to my door. Now life is so wonderful with my Magic Bullet; I can even whistle while making my apple juice or chopping garlic.

Peeling, chopping, mixing and blending are all tedious, time consuming kitchen tasks that can really take the joy out of cooking. Everything from chopped onions and minced garlic can all be prepared in 10 seconds or less. Magic Bullet cups are microwaveable and safe, which means you, can actually cook in them.

Here?s what I got:
1. High-Torque Power Base as size as small coffee maker, where you can bring anywhere, even in your handbag?if you like to wear large handbag, hobo or sling bag to your office or to a restaurant. Note: this idea can only be used if you are a really frugal or brave person who doesn?t care what people say. If you like sitting in the restaurants or coffee shops, just bring your own fruits or coffee, and of course your Magic Bullet in your handbag, ask the waitress where the electrical power is and plug in your Magic Bullet. Tada! You can make your own juice or café ocha, cappuccino or Iris coffee in a second while your friends are getting sleepy waiting for their orders to come. It?s also cheap because you just need to pay the restaurant table and ambience (bhua?hahah?ahha?just kidding).
2. Tall Cup and Short Cup?these cups are used to mix, cook and store your ingredients. They are dishwasher-safe (top rack only) and microwave-safe.
3. Four Party Mugs with Comfort Lip Rings?you can make and serve frozen drinks right in the same mug.
4. Cross Blade and Flat Blade. The Cross Blade for chopping, grating and blending foods such as onions, cheeses, meats, and frozen drinks and Flat Blade for whipping cream and grinding hard foods like coffee beans and spices. The appearance is such that it could be used as one of those small hand held weapons seen thrown in Ninja movies.
5. Magic Bullet Blender and Lid
6. Magic Bullet Juice Extractor Kit. These two pieces, the extractor and plunger transform your Magic Bullet into the Magic Bullet Juicer.
7. Shaker/Steamer Tops. The Steamer top is used for steaming foods in the microwave or as shaker tops. The shaker/steamer tops with the large holes is for coarse ingredients such as Parmesan cheese, the other is for finely ground spices such as cinnamon or nutmeg.

Well, I?m not trying to sell an advertisement here Baby! This is based on my experience. The Magic Bullet is especially useful if you have a small house and don?t like clutters over your counter tops, need tools that are easy to use and clean, and come in small packages, light, and handy. ?Magic Bullet? is the answer.

Since I have my Magic Bullet I love to drink fresh juice every day. The other benefit you can get is not only that your hands and clothes won?t smell like garlic anymore, but that your husband, boyfriend or partner will love you even more. Because when you have a Magic Bullet, making fresh juice is the simplest of things to do. When you start drinking fresh juice, that helps your body stay fit and healthy. Cihuiiiii?????
